Lakeland Team Cattle Penning Association

Date: April 22 & 23, 2017
What: Basic skills training and introduction/review of all positions, then its time to play the game! Over the weekend you will gain valuable cow handling skills, and your penning will improve!
Who: This clinic is suitable for all first time penners/horses, and also for number 1 and 2 penners who are looking to up their game with a refresher and some time on cattle.
Clinician: Dawn Milnthorp - Dawn is the President of the Lakeland Team Cattle Penning Association, and is invested in the growth of the sport, and our association. She is one of the best people to teach you the game of team penning. Dawn has been competing for 12 years, and is a number 4 penner. She will begin with the basic horsemanship skills, then teach you the different positions for the game, break down the zones of the arena, and teach you the different techniques required to get the job done.
There will be live cattle at this clinic, but do not worry if your horse is unfamiliar with cattle, and might be afraid. Dawn is excellent at dealing with these situations, and you will be in the herd with confidence in no time!
Cost: $240.00/person - includes lunch for both days
* A $100.00 deposit is required before April 10th to hold your spot.
*First come first served.
*There are 21 spots available for this clinic and it will fill up fast!
*$20.00/day spectating fee for anyone who wishes to sit in and watch
